Real Madrid injury update – August 2023
Real Madrid’s season has only just started but they’ve already amassed a decent amount of injuries, and they’re all quiet significant one’s too.
Thibaut Courtois tore his ACL in the training session prior to Real Madrid’s season opener against Athletic Club. He’s expected to miss the entirety of this season.
During the game against Athletic Club, Eder Militão picked up the exact same injury as Courtois. The Brazilian slipped and tore his ACL and will also be out for the rest of this season.

Real Madrid’s other injured players are Arda Güler, Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos and most recently Vinícius Júnior.
Güler, Mendy & Ceballos picked up their injuries during the teams pre-season preparations. Vinícius picked up his injury during Madrid’s match against Celta and is set to be sidelined for six weeks.
Güler underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on the 14th of August as he looks to recover from the meniscus issues he’s been struggling with.
Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy’s injuries aren’t as serious and both should be available by the end of the month.
