Real Madrid’s perfect start to the season continued thanks to another Jude Bellingham goal.
The Englishman scored his fourth goal in three LaLiga games to secure a 1-0 win for Real Madrid against Celta Vigo on Friday.
The outcome of what was a closely-fought match was determined by a winning goal in the 80th minute from Madrid’s newly acclaimed superstar.
The win is Madrid’s third to start the 2023/24 LaLiga season.
Kepa Arrizabalaga: 7/10
Made his Real Madrid debut after joining on loan from Chelsea due to Courtois’ injury and earned a clean sheet. The Spaniard looked nervy at times but was decent throughout.
Dani Carvajal: 6.5/10
Not as solid as he was during Madrid’s opening two games. The Spaniard looked a little leggy and didn’t contribute much in attack.
Antonio Rüdiger: 7/10
Solid performance from the German who wasn’t tested all too much. A positive start to the season for Rüdiger.
David Alaba: 7/10
Not a super impressive performance but the Austrian did his job relatively well.
Fran Garcia: 6.5/10
Fran is slowly improving and was decent down the left flank. The Spaniard wasn’t very reassuring defensively but got forward pretty well.
Fede Valverde: 7.5/10
Madrid’s best midfielder on the night. The Uruguayan was all over the pitch and was also decent in attack.
Aurélien Tchouaméni: 7/10
Another good performance from the Frenchman who only misplaced one pass (63/64 – 98% accuracy).
Eduardo Camavinga: 7/10
Camavinga put in a shift but didn’t offer much on the ball.
Jude Bellingham: 9/10
Another game, another winning goal. That’s four goals in three games for Bellingham so far this season. What a start to his Madrid career, what a player!
Rodrygo Goes: 7.5/10
Despite missing a penalty, Rodrygo was Madrid’s most threatening player throughout the game. The Brazilian did everything but find the back of the net.
Vinicius Jr: N/A
Started the game excellently but then picked up an injury and was forced to come off after just 18 minutes.
Joselu: 6/10 – Came on to replace the injured Vinicius. The Spaniard assisted Bellingham’s winner.
Luka Modric: 6/10 – Came on to replace Tchouaméni. The Croatian helped Madrid gain more control in the middle of the park.
Toni Kroos: 6.5/10 – Came on to replace Camavinga. The German brought some much needed calmness and control to the midfield.
Nacho Fernandez: N/A – Came on to replace the Fran Garcia late on.
