Real Madrid Transfers – Summer 2023/24

It’s been a very busy summer for Real Madrid. A lot of transfer activity has taken place over the past month as the team continues its preparation for the new season.

In terms of outgoings, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard & Mariano Diaz have all left the club as free agents.

Karim Benzema has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad after receiving an eye-opening offer worth 200 million euros per-year.

Marco Asensio has decided to join PSG in search of more regular game time after rejecting a new contract at Real Madrid. Mariano Diaz’ contract has also expired and he’ll be looking for pastures new.

As for Eden Hazard, the Belgian mutually agreed to have his contract terminated with a year left on his deal. According to reports, the Belgian agreed to accept 50% of what he would’ve earned if he stayed (14 million euros).

In terms of incomings, Jude Bellingham, Brahim Diaz, Joselu, Fran Garcia and Arda Güler have all joined the team.

Jude Bellingham joined Real Madrid in a deal worth 103 million euros making him the second most expensive transfer in the history of the club. The Englishman penned a six-year deal until 2029.

Joselu joined on a season-long loan from Espanyol for 500 thousand euros. Madrid included a buy option in his contract which can be triggered next summer for 1.5 million euros.

Fran Garcia returned after Real Madrid triggered his 5 million euro release clause. The left-back put pen to paper on a contract until June 2027.

Brahim Diaz is another player that’s re-joined Real Madrid this summer. The Spaniard signed a new contract until 2027 after his loan at AC Milan came to an end.

The latest arrival was Arda Güler. The talented 18-year old joined from Turkish side Fenerbahçe in a deal worth 20 million euros plus another 10 million in add-ons.
