When is the Champions League 2023/24 Round of 16 draw?

The draw for the 2023/24 Champions League knockout phase will take place on Monday, 18 November. It will be held at 12pm CET at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

How does the draw work and who could Real Madrid face?

The draw features 16 teams. The eight group winners are seeded and the eight runners-up are unseeded. Teams from the same group cannot be drawn against each other, and no team can play a side from their own domestic league.

Group winners (seeded): Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal & Manchester City.

Group runners-up (unseeded): PSG, Napoli, Inter Milan, Lazio, RB Leipzig, Porto, PSV & Copenhagen.

Real Madrid can play: PSG, Inter Milan, Lazio, RB Leipzig, Porto, PSV or Copenhagen.

When will the matches be played?

Real Madrid will play away from home in the first leg on 13, 14, 20 or 21 February 2024. The second leg will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on 5, 6, 12 or 13 March.
