Player Ratings: Real Madrid 5-1 Valencia – 2023/24

Real Madrid cruised to a comfortable 5-1 win against Valencia at the Bernabéu on Saturday night thanks to a goal from Carvajal and braces from Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men closed the gap with Girona to two points which means they head into the November international break second in the league standings.

Andriy Lunin: 7.5/10

Made a number of brilliant saves early on in the game to deny Valencia. The Ukrainian got a touch on Hugo Duro’s goal but couldn’t keep it out.

Dani Carvajal: 8/10

Opened the scoring with a sensational volley with his weaker foot. One of Madrid’s best player’s this season. Extremely consistent.

Nacho: 7/10

Put in a decent shift before being caught napping for Duro’s goal.

David Alaba: 6/10

A shaky performance from the Austrian who was lucky that Hugo Duro didn’t have his shooting boots on tonight. Subpar performance.

Ferland Mendy: 7/10

Followed his decent performance against Braga with another solid performance against Valencia tonight. Slowly regaining form.

Fede Valverde: 7.5/10

Another dominant performance from the Uruguayan who was full of energy and aggression as Madrid dominated proceedings.

Toni Kroos: 7.5/10

Only misplaced five passes during the game 76/81 (94%) and was top class once again. The German assisted Carvajal’s opener with a sensational pass over the top and also hit the crossbar with a well-taken free-kick.

Eduardo Camavinga: 8/10

Camavinga has stepped up in Tchouaméni’s absence and put in another brilliant display. The Frenchman dominated the middle of the park and had the Bernabéu wowing with the ball at his feet.

Brahim Diaz: 7/10

Started the game a little slowly but grew into it as time went on. The Spaniard showed once again that he can be relied on to help the team.

Rodrygo Goes: 10/10

After a difficult start to the season, Rodrygo has now scored three goals and registered three assists in the last two games. Simply unstoppable.

Vinicius Jr: 9.5/10

Vinicius was in excellent form once again, causing Valencia all sorts of problems throughout the ninety minutes. The Brazilian scored twice and his linkup with Rodrygo was exquisite.

Luka Modric: 7/10 – Came on to replace Valverde. The Croatian was excellent after being introduced and hit the crossbar.

Fran Garcia: 7/10 – Came on to replace Ferland Mendy. The Spaniard assisted Rodrygo’s second.

Lucas Vazquez: N/A – Came on to replace Brahim Diaz.

Joselu: N/A – Came on to replace Vinicius.

Nico Paz: N/A – Came on to replace Carvajal.
