Player ratings:

Starting XI:

Andriy Lunin: 6/10

Conceded four goals but can’t really be blamed for any of them. The Ukrainian was let down by some shocking defending in the second half.

Lucas Vazquez: 8/10

A very good attacking display from the Galician who scored a goal and registered two assists.

Antonio Rüdiger: 6/10

Rüdiger started off the game well but was shell-shocked in the second half. Made a crucial block to deny Sorloth a winner late on.

Eder Militão: 4/10

A horror show for the Brazilian in the second half. Militão couldn’t get anywhere close to Sorloth and does not look ready to start the Champions League final.

Fran Garcia: 5/10

Put in a decent shift in the first half but capitulated with the rest of the team’s defence after the break.

Luka Modric: 6/10

A decent performance from the timeless Croatian who was sound with his passing and always looked to feed the attackers. Came off to another standing ovation.

Fede Valverde: 6/10

Started the game as the pivot in central midfield. Although he had a lot of possession, it was a fairly quiet performance from Valverde.

Dani Ceballos: 5/10

Gave the ball away far too easily at times which ended up costing the team on a number of occasions. Too sloppy.

Arda Güler: 9/10

Another start for Güler and another two goals for the Turkish wonderkid. Güler was at his clinical best and has already scored six goals in LaLiga this season. Sensational.

Brahim Diaz: 8/10

Consistently excellent. The winger notched two assists and was very sharp on the ball throughout. 21 goal contributions for the Moroccan this season.

Joselu: 7/10

Scored a quality header after a brilliant cross from Vazquez but wasn’t involved much at all after the goal.

Eduardo Camavinga: 6.5/10 Came on to replace Fede Valverde.

Nacho Fernandez: 6.5/10 Came on to replace Eder Militão.

Rodrygo Goes: 6.5/10 Came on to replace Brahim Diaz.

Mario Martin: N/A Came on to replace Luka Modric late on.
