Real Madrid injury update – September 2021

Dani Carvajal suffered an injury in Real Madrid’s 2-1 win against Valencia on September 19. According to MARCA, the Spaniard is suffering from a calf injury that will sideline him for a minimum of four weeks.
MARCA also provided an update on Toni Kroos. The German rejoined his teammates in training today, 20 September, and his goal is to be ready after the international break in October.
Ferland Mendy suffered a relapse on the eve of Real Madrid’s LaLiga match against Celta Vigo (September 11), and will now be out for three to four weeks. According to MARCA, Mendy is likely to be fit to play on October 17 against Athletic Club at the Bernabéu.
Gareth Bale also picked up an injury during the final training session before the match against Celta Vigo. According to multiple sources, the Welshman is set for an 8-week layoff with a hamstring injury.
Marcelo suffered a muscle injury in training on Monday, September 13, and will also miss three to four weeks. According to MARCA, the Brazilian should be fit for the match against Athletic Club on October 17.
