Real Madrid 1-0 Real Valladolid
A goal from Vinicius in the second-half was enough to secure all three points for Real Madrid against Real Valladolid at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium. Real Madrid struggled in attack until Vinicius pounced on a loose ball in the box that deflected off a Valladolid defender. Jovic came close in the first half but things were just not happening in attack for Real Madrid. Zidane decided to waste no time and brought on Marco Asensio, Vinicius and Dani Carvajal in for Isco, Jovic and Odriozola.
The substitutions worked perfectly and resulted in Real Madrid going ahead. Luka Modric nearly scored Real Madrid’s second but unluckily hit the post. Overall, it was a decent performance from Los Blancos who are still testing out different formations and gaining fitness. Real Madrid currently sit joint top of LaLiga. ¡Hala Madrid!
