Real Betis 2-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid grabbed their first three points of the season in a 3-2 win against Real Betis. A late penalty from Sergio Ramos capped a second half comeback for Real Madrid at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. Fede Valverde opened the scoring with a goal early in the first half, before Betis scored two goals in three minutes through Mandi and William Carvalho just before half time.

Luka Modric replaced Toni Kroos just before half time with the German feeling some discomfort. Zidane made a change at the break with Isco replacing Odegaard, a change which helped Real Madrid turn things around in the second half. Los Blancos drew level through an own goal from Emerson, who was then sent off with 20 minutes to go. Real Madrid ended up taking full advantage with Sergio Ramos scoring from the spot to secure all three points for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid could have added more gloss to the scoreline with Benzema, Valverde and Isco all missing clear-cut chances in the final 10 minutes. Regardless, a huge win for the Spanish Champions. ¡Hala Madrid!
