Player Ratings: Real Madrid 4-2 Almeria – 2022/23

Real Madrid returned to winning ways on Saturday with a comfortable 4-2 win against Almeria thanks to a Karim Benzema hat-trick and a goal from Rodrygo.
Los Blancos dominated from start to finish and could’ve easily scored a lot more, having hit the woodwork four times. The win sees Real Madrid cut the gap to leaders Barcelona to 8 points.
Player ratings:
Starting XI:
Thibaut Courtois: 6/10
Nothing the Belgian could do to stop either goal. Courtois was let down by his teammates’ poor defending once again.
Lucas Vazquez: 7/10
Solid shift from the Galician who added depth to the team’s attack down the right. Lucas won the penalty which Benzema converted for Madrid’s third goal.
Eder Militao: 7/10
Militao’s passing out of the back was excellent once again. The Brazilian did however fall asleep for Almeria’s first goal.
Antonio Rüdiger: 7/10
Fell asleep for Almeria’s first goal but overall he put in a solid shift.
Eduardo Camavinga: 7/10
Started at left-back once again. The Frenchman continues to impress in that position despite him saying that he doesn’t like it. Another very good performance.
Toni Kroos: 7/10
Rodrygo Goes: 9/10
Vinícius Jr: 8/10
Substitutions:
Nacho Fernandez: 6/10 – Came on to replace Toni Kroos.
Marco Asensio: 7/10 – Came on to replace Rodrygo. The Spaniard hit the woodwork twice since his introduction.
Dani Carvajal: N/A – Came on to replace Vinicius late on.
