Player Ratings: Real Madrid 3-0 Braga – 2023/24

Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Braga at the Bernabéu on Wednesday thanks to goals from Brahim, Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men strolled to three points which secured qualification from Group C after a fourth consecutive Champions League win.

Andriy Lunin: 8/10

Started tonight’s game after Kepa picked an injury in the warmups. The Ukrainian denied Braga from the spot and made a few excellent stops.

Lucas Vazquez: 6.5/10

Started the game extremely poorly after giving away a penalty inside five minutes. The Galician improved as the game went on, registering an assist for Vinicius’ goal.

Antonio Rüdiger: 7.5/10

Another solid performance from the German who dealt with Braga’s attacks with relative ease.

Nacho Fernandez: 7/10

Ancelotti chose to rest Alaba and Nacho did not disappoint. The Captain put in a solid performance alongside Rüdiger.

Ferland Mendy: 7/10

A decent performance from the Frenchman who did his job well defensively and contributed in attack a little more regularly than usual.

Fede Valverde: 8/10

A true warrior. Fede did not stop running and was excellent in both defence and attack. Barely put a foot wrong throughout.

Eduardo Camavinga: 8/10

Celebrated his contract renewal with a near flawless display tonight. The Frenchman dominated the middle of the park and oozed class throughout. Brilliant shift.

Toni Kroos: 7.5/10

A typical Toni Kroos performance. The German completed 83/86 (97%) passes and made things look incredibly easy. Class.

Brahim Diaz: 8/10

Finally given a start by Ancelotti. The Spaniard made full use of the opportunity, opening the scoring for Real Madrid and putting in a comprehensive performance. Will surely be given more game time after tonight.

Rodrygo Goes: 9/10

After a few woeful performances, Rodrygo was back to his best as usually is the case in the Champions League. The Brazilian provided the assist for Diaz’s opener and took his goal brilliantly with a sensational chip over the Braga goalkeeper.

Vinicius Jr: 9/10

Started the game slowly but improved as time went on. The Brazilian took his goal brilliantly and set up Rodrygo with a beautiful through ball.

Luka Modric: 6/10 – Came on to replace Brahim Diaz.

Dani Carvajal: 6/10 – Came on to replace Lucas Vazquez.

Joselu: 6/10 – Came on to replace Rodrygo.
