Player Ratings: Real Madrid 0-0 Rayo Vallecano – 2023/24
Real Madrid were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by a stubborn Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday night.
Los Blancos had countless chances to win the game but their poor finishing and lack of composure in the final third came back to haunt them.
The draw means Girona end the week top of the table, two points ahead of Real Madrid who drop down to second in LaLiga.
Kepa Arrizabalaga: 6/10
Kepa was a spectator. The Spaniard didn’t face a single shot on target.
Dani Carvajal: 8/10
Another very solid shift from the Spaniard. The Spaniard was Real Madrid’s best player on the pitch.
Antonio Rüdiger: 7/10
With virtually zero defending to do, Rüdiger often forayed forward and was a threat from set-pieces.
David Alaba: 7/10
Very quiet game for the Austrian who had nothing to do in defence.
Fran Garcia: 7/10
Fran came very close to scoring against his former team in the first half. The Spaniard put in a decent shift.
Fede Valverde: 7/10
Unbelievable how he failed to score within the opening five minutes. The Uruguayan’s general play was solid but he did look sloppy at times.
Eduardo Camavinga: 7.5/10
Replaced the injured Tchouaméni in the middle of the park. The Frenchman was excellent and made a number of very good interceptions.
Luka Modric: 7/10
Luka Modric used the ball well and was one of Madrid’s better players on the night.
Jude Bellingham: 7/10
Bellingham was heavily involved throughout and produced a few moments of magic but couldn’t find another winner for his team. Picked up a knock to his shoulder.
Missed far too many chances which ended up costing the team.
Vinicius Jr: 6/10
Vinicius was Madrid’s most threatening forward and did see a goal disallowed for offside but the Brazilian was not at his best.
Rodrygo Goes: 6/10 – Came on to replace Luka Modric. The Brazilian missed a great chance almost immediately after coming on.
Toni Kroos: 6/10 – Came on to replace Fran Garcia.
Nacho: N/A – Came on to replace Eduardo Camavinga late on.
