Player Ratings: Getafe 0-1 Real Madrid – 2022/23
Real Madrid returned to winning ways in LaLiga with a narrow 1-0 win against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez Stadium.
It took Carlo Ancelotti’s men just three minutes to take the lead. Eder Militao rose highest at the near post from a Luka Modric corner, flicking his header beyond the reach of goalkeeper David Soria.
It was a game of very little chances and at times it looked like a repeat of what happened against Osasuna last week was inevitable but Real Madrid did enough to take all three points.
The win sees Los Blancos move three points clear of Barcelona who play Celta Vigo on Sunday.
Andriy Lunin: 7/10
Hard to remember if he had to make a single save. Regardless, he’ll be happy to have earned Real Madrid’s first clean sheet in LaLiga this season.
Dani Carvajal: 7/10
Solid performance from the Spaniard who was excellent in defence.
Eder Militao: 9/10
A brilliant performance from the Brazilian who scored the winner and was rock solid throughout. The Brazilian made fourteen ball retrievals and Getafe’s forwards simply had no chance of getting past him. Excellent.
Antonio Rüdiger: 7/10
Solid performance from the German who was good on the ball and wasn’t tested much at all.
David Alaba: 7/10
Started tonight’s game at left-back. The Austrian didn’t stand out but was solid throughout.
Luka Modric: 7.5/10
Back from injury and his presence was very noticeable. Luka assisted Militao with an inch perfect cross from a corner and was a standout performer in the middle of the park.
Aurélien Tchouaméni: 7.5/10
Eduardo Camavinga: 6/10
Relatively disappointing performance from the Frenchman. Camavinga showed energy and desire but failed to make much of an impact on the game.
Fede Valverde: 7/10
A decent performance from Fede who always tried to get things moving in the final third. The Uruguayan set up Rodrygo only for the goal to be disallowed for offside.
Rodrygo Goes: 7/10
A relatively quiet performance from Rodrygo. The Brazilian scored in the second-half only for the goal to rightfully be disallowed for offside.
Vinicius Jr: 7.5/10
Real Madrid’s main dangerman. The Brazilian caused Getafe all sorts of problems and was unlucky not to have won a penalty after a VAR review adjudged that the ball went out of play.
Marco Asensio: 7/10 – Came on to replace Camavinga late on. The Spaniard was very good since coming on and came close to scoring.
Nacho: N/A – Came on to replace Eder Militao late on.
Mariano Diaz: N/A – Came on to replace Rodrygo late on.
