Player Ratings: Elche 0-3 Real Madrid – 2022/23

Real Madrid followed up their win in El Clasico with a 3-0 win away to Elche on Wednesday night.

Goals from Fede Valverde, Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio propelled the visitors six points clear at the top of the table.

Los Blancos had three goals chalked off for offside, two from Karim Benzema and one from David Alaba.

Andriy Lunin: 8.5/10

Made a few impressive saves with the highlight being the save he made after the break with the score still at 1-0. A well deserved clean sheet.

Dani Carvajal: 7/10

Solid performance from the Spaniard who provided the the team with width on the right. Got caught in an offside position for Benzema’s third disallowed goal.

Eder Militao: 7/10

Another very solid performance from Militao who has found a great level of consistency this season.

Antonio Rüdiger: 7/10

A very calm evening for the German who had very little defending to do.

David Alaba: 7/10

Started tonight’s game at left-back. The Austrian enjoyed having the freedom to attack and surge forward but also took care of his defensive duties. Scored a wonderful goal only for it to be disallowed for offside.

Luka Modric: 7.5/10

Another show of pure magic from the Croatian. Luka was unstoppable at times in the middle of the park, wowing the home crowd on more than one occasion.

Toni Kroos: 7.5/10

Started as a defensive midfielder. Kroos carried on his brilliant form with a very calm and composed performance.

Fede Valverde: 8.5/10

After scoring in El Clasico, the Uruguayan continued his hot streak with another goal tonight taking his tally to five for the season. Yet another brilliant display.

Rodrygo Goes: 9/10

Assisted both Benzema and Asensio’s goals. The Brazilian showed incredible awareness and understanding with his teammates and then brilliant execution to deliver the right ball at the right time. Top performance.

Karim Benzema: 8/10

A brilliant performance from the Ballon d’Or winner. The Frenchman got denied two goals and an assist for offside before finally getting his well earned goal.

Vinicius Jr: 6/10

Showed quick feet to skip past challenges and create space for himself but often disappointed with his final ball.

Substitutions:

Aurélien Tchouaméni: 7.5/10 Came on to replace Luka Modric. The Frenchman put in a brilliant display, greatly improving the team since his introduction.

Marco Asensio: 7.5/10 Came on to replace Toni Kroos and made an immediate impact, scoring with a brilliant first touch after a great cross from Rodrygo.

Eduardo Camavinga: N/A Came on to replace Vinicius late on.

Nacho Fernandez: N/A Came on to replace David Alaba late on.

Lucas Vazquez: N/A Came on to replace Dani Carvajal late on.
