Player Ratings: Barcelona 1-2 Real Madrid – 2023/24

Real Madrid come from behind to secure a 2-1 win against Barcelona on Saturday afternoon thanks to two goals from Jude Bellingham.
The win sees Madrid move back to the top of LaLiga and open up a four-point lead over arch rivals Barcelona, who remain in third place.
Player ratings:
Starting XI:
Kepa Arrizabalaga: 7/10
Should’ve arguably done better to deny Gundogan. The Spaniard made a number of solid saves to keep the score at 1-0 in the first half.
Dani Carvajal: 7/10
Stood his ground well and made a number of important last-ditch tackles. Bellingham’s winner originated from his cross.
Antonio Rüdiger: 7/10
Was caught ball-watching for Barcelona’s opener. Greatly improved in the second half and was Madrid’s best player in defence.
David Alaba: 5/10
At fault for Barcelona’s opener after poor marking and then failing to put in the tackle to deny Gundogan. The Austrian’s passing out from the back was also very poor.
Ferland Mendy: 5/10
Rodrygo Goes: 4/10
Nowhere to be seen. Rodrygo had zero impact on the game and only managed 26 touches on the ball.
Vinicius Jr: 6/10
Substitutions:
Eduardo Camavinga: 8/10 – Came on to replace Ferland Mendy. The Frenchman completely changed the game, adding some much needed energy and creativity to the left flank.
Luka Modric: 8.5/10 – Came on to replace Toni Kroos. The Croatian was key to Real Madrid’s resurgence in the second half and registered an assist for Bellingham’s winner.
Joselu: 6.5/10 – Came on to replace Rodrygo. The Spaniard occupied Barca’s centre-backs which gave Bellingham a lot more space to operate.
Lucas Vazquez: N/A – Came on to replace Vinicius late on.
