Real Madrid had a solid pre-season and to Ancelotti’s delight, no players picked up any injuries. Carvajal did however pick up a knock and recently so did Rodrygo. The Brazilian will miss Sunday’s game due to muscle discomfort while Carvajal has been left out as a precaution.
For Almeria, right-back Juanjo Nieto and centre-back Ivan Martos are still recovering from their long-term injuries and midfielder Arnau Puigmal is also a doubt for the game.
